The company goebl architecture celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. In 1973 architect Fritz Göbl received his civil engineering license and began enriching Lower Austria and Vienna with his buildings from his base in Krems an der Donau. In 2014 his son Lukas Göbl brought his young company into the fold, making goebl architecture ZT GmbH a family business. Since 2016 he has been the sole head of the architecture firm and moved to Vienna, most recently to Eßlinggasse 7 in the first district. Branches were established in Krems and Burgenland.

The company is active in the fields of architectural and general planning as well as project development, -management and -controlling. The focus is on large-volume residential construction (over 2,500 residential units), cultural construction (numerous museums and galleries) and municipal construction (town halls and community centers, schools, kindergartens, etc.). Other areas of expertise include the planning of wineries and the renovation and revitalization of listed buildings.

The work of goebl architecture has received numerous national and international building and architecture awards, e.g. International Architecture Award, Dezeen Award, Architecture Masterprize, Niederösterreichischer Baupreis, etc.

Managing partner Lukas Göbl graduated from Wolf D. Prix’s master class, has been a civil engineer for architecture and building construction since 2009 and a real estate trustee/developer since 2022. His graphic work has been exhibited and awarded numerous prizes both nationally and internationally.
